• Whiskey Lullaby Karaoke

Trip hop is one of my all time favorite genres (including other electronic genres and world beat/fusion). I consider 'Monometric' one of my all time favorite trip hop albums. I love the soul-sampling on the first song, the strong and soulful female vocals, the strong ryhthms of the songs, the brass sections and grooves. Even though the digital world is taking over and mp3's are the way to go these days,(and are very convenient in a lot of ways,) I still do the old skool way of things, such as listen to material formats, like CD's.

I have downloaded a lot of mp3's and such, but there are few that I would go out of my way to put onto a CD. I feel tickeled pink that I will make a cd of this album(as there is a materialistic sentimentality that comes with owning material formats) and place it in with my collection of other great trip hop classics such as Tricky, Portishead, Massive Attack, Ollano, Air, and Morcheeba!!!!
