• Neverfull Handles Cracking

Hi ladies, I originally posted this in the Neverfull club, but thought it might be a good question to ask those of you who have vachetta handle bags. I bought my first LV bag - the Neverfull Azur MM - a week ago and have carried it 4 times. Total carry time on my shoulder would be approximately 5 hours. I didn't fill it up at all - the most I carried was my wallet, camera, small (600mL) water bottle, sunglasses case, phone, keys and a light cotton cape jacket. I have noticed a couple of small hairline cracks on one of the handles (see photos).

Is this normal? I know that I can expect vachetta to dry and crack as time passes, but after one week? Has anyone else experienced this with their bags (particularly Neverfulls)? Is this a common occurance? And should I take it back to the store?

An update: I took my bag to the LV boutique where a lovely SA inspected the handles. She told me that the crack is on the very surface and that it shouldn't cause any damage, HOWEVER if the crack worsened after a few months, she said that I could bring it back and have the handles replaced for free. I don't think most people would notice the cracks, I'm just particularly picky about my things haha. Well, the cracks don't impact the bag at all so I am happy. And if worse comes to worst, I know I can take it back to LV to sort out! This customer service reminds me why I've chosen to go with LV products!
